Tax Deductible Donations
We offer the option of tax deductibility through cooperation with our sister organization SAWA-Australia (SA) in South Australia. This option is restricted to online donations. If you wish to make a tax deductible donation and obtain a receipt, go to https://www.givenow.com.au/rural-centre-for-women to donate.
Please note that the receipt will be issued using the name of SAWA-Australia (SA) but your donation will be allocated fully to our SAWA-NSW project in Nangarhar Province.

SAWA-NSW relies on your annual membership fee to cover administrative costs such as website hosting costs and stationery.

Fundraising Events
The SAWA Committee organises fundraising events such as lunches dinners and films or talks, and welcomes other members and supporters offering to organise an event.

The next event is a lunch to be held in Canberra at the Bamiyan Afghan Restaurant in Lonsdale Street, Braddon, on Wednesday, 10 May, 12.30 for 1.00 p.m. start, $60 per head. Find out how to book here: SAWA Lunch Canberra 2023
Run Your Own Event
You may provide a dinner or lunch at home with a restaurant level charge to participants so profit can go to SAWA.
Your book club, Rotary group, Probus group or other local group may organise an event or promote SAWA as part of a regular fundraising program. SAWA NSW is happy to provide a speaker to these groups to provide more detail of what we do.
Your child’s school may be interested in raising awareness of Afghanistan’s great needs and raising funds for SAWA.
