SAWA-Australia (SA) convener receives a reward

Matthias TomczakLast November the SAWA (SA) committee decided to suggest its convener Matthias Tomczak for the "Sustaining Women’s Empowerment in Communities and Organisations" (SWECO) Award that is given out by the Australian Centre for Leadership for Women (ACLW) every year. The application was successful, and Matthias received the award in the category "Empowering women in a community or organisation overseas". The award comes with a $500 cheque for SAWA-Australia (SA). Matthias collected the award and prize at a ceremony held in Parliament House, NSW, on 6 March on behalf of the courageous women of OPAWC and all our supporters. He also received a cheque over $100 from one of our supporters who attended the ceremony! Visit the ACLW page of the SWECO awards for more detail.
